Many years ago Ruby Lee Johnson started the tradition of donating a hand quilted "Peacock Quilt" to the Pavo Civic Club
and the monies raised from it go to help with the club expenses.
Mrs. Ruby Lee passed away this year but her spirit and love of quilting will always be a part of our community.
  The Peacock Quilter are carrying on the tradition of creating a new and different Peacock Quilt each year. 
Many hours of handquilting go into the quilt.  We start designing the quilt in August and finish it in March.
